Poster Parade – Painting By Numbers
Something that I wrote about for le cool this week that I thought I’d mention here as well is Poster Parade – Painting by Numbers, a new exhibition running at the London Transport Museum.
It’s fair to say that Data Visualisation is fairly ‘hot right now’ but as this exhibition of London Underground posters from the 1920s and 30s shows “the presentation of information abstracted into a visual form” is not just the preserve of 21st century designers.
Featuring the work of designers such as Hans Schleger, Misha Black & David Langdon, Theyre Lee-Elliott, and James Fitton, Poster Parade runs until March 18. You can check out a few more of the posters over on Creative Review’s website.
